Good Old Fashioned Halloween Fun

Me and Maya hang out with our favorite dead guy...
Kinda late for Halloween...but I just wanted to have it on record that we grown folks still have a lot of fun this time of year! We carved up some pumpkins and ate yummy food made by Raul (the Chef in our family--I'm the Event Coordinator.) Kelsi, Jeff, Kisa, Sajid and Robert joined in on the carving fun and foody feast. On Halloween, I threw together a generic 1930's (?) Hollywood starlet costume and Maya was a cute puppy. She had more fun passing out candy and seeing all the kids in their costumes, I think, than actually going around trick-or-treating. Jeff and Kelsi joined us for a spooky late-night viewing of Halloween the movie (reminding us that a great horror flick doesn't have to have a ton of blood and gore--just a creepy slow walking guy in an inside-out captain Kirk mask). We had a lot of fun decorating the front porch the week before. We resurrected Freaky Freddy from the great beyond. Our cat Ceasar just thought we built him his very own headless human (with full functioning lap) for him to perch upon. OK, here's all the photos...

Kisa discusses the possibilities with Maya...
Sajid says hello to an old friend...
Robert thinks, "This is easier than it looks!"Jeff does his old Lazer Eyes trick...
Raul thinks, "I'd rather cook it than carve it..."
My neighbor's pumpkin was up all night partying... ;)
Maya hands out candy with Freaky Freddy...
Gina stops by to say hello and happy halloween!

  1. Tee Hee. The caption on Sajid's picture makes me laugh over and over. I told him about it and was laughing so hard I could hardly get it out (I don't know why it strikes me as so funny...it's just the idea that Jacko is his old friend). Darth Maul turned out so rad!
